The Woman Behind the Brand

Katie Gardner started TeenyB after being frustrated time and time again at the ill-fitting nature of every bikini she would try on. Being from California, Katie was no stranger to living a bikini life. Even after getting married, traveling the world, and having children, the perfect bikini seemed to be just a figment of her imagination. The search continued, and the perfect bikini seemed further and further from existing. Either the quality of the fabric was not up to standard or the craftsmanship left something to be desired. Why was it so hard to find a bikini that was tailored to her shape and made with quality materials with attention to detail? The suits that came close to flattering her shape were Brazilian inspired or were from Australia. It was hard to find those cheekier styles that flattered her frame stateside.

That is how TeenyB came to be in 2009. With those frustrations becoming our focus. We’ve strived to make the best tailored Brazilian inspired swimwear styles, use the best quality bikini materials and sustainable materials where we can, with attention to every detail.

Made By Women

We make all our Brazilian inspired swimwear styles in-house at TeenyB Headquarters in Clearwater, FL. We have our own manufacturing team that is made up of women who are experts at their craft. From pattern making to working with the delicate nature of bikini fabric and the various equipment that is used to create these tailored bikini styles, these women never cease to amaze us. Being able to design everything in house and have our patterns drawn and created right alongside with us is truly a magical experience every time we create a style. There is a lot of love that goes into each swimsuit, we could not be more grateful for our team that’s been with us for years.

We are a small team with a large dream of spreading bikini joy worldwide. From the beginning, we have always been an e-commerce only brand. Though we do not have a brick and mortar storefront, we do make everything in-house in sunny Florida and we ship from Florida across the globe. This has provided us the opportunity to share our handcrafted swim products globally. At the heart of it, we are a small local business, part of the fabric that makes up the Greater Tampa Bay area. We live here, we work here, and we play here. With access to one of the most beautiful beaches in our back yard, Clearwater Beach, it is hard to resist a bikini life year-round. The Finest Bikini Fabric + Sustainable Bikini Fabric

In the quest to design the perfect bikini, Katie not only assembled the best team, she knew it would come down to sourcing some of the best swimwear fabric. As we have learned more and more about the design process and ways to streamline our manufacturing efforts, we’ve also learned more about materials, and have tried to utilize sustainable materials where we can. This is an on-going implementation that we take pride in. Being able to utilize a Vita fabric from Carvico is like a dream come true. The sustainable techno-fabric is made of an ECONYL® regenerated Nylon that turns waste problems into bikini fashion. Vita is versatile, hyper-resistant, thin, elegant, stretchy, buttery soft, and breathable. With the innovative fabric construction, it is twice as resistant to chlorine and suntan creams and oils than many other swimwear fabrics out there.

Our commitment to creating luxury swimwear is defined with even the smallest of details, down to the stitch. Choosing a strong thread in the right color is the backbone to creating garments that last longer than just one season. To make durable, handcrafted bikini styles, we have sourced the best bikini fabric, exclusive accent trims, and the best thread that we can find. From enamel-coated exclusive TeenyB charms to genuine Swarovski Crystal Trims, each TeenyB Swimwear Collection has a unique detail to offer while using quality fabric, quality thread, and quality craftsmanship with tailored designs at the heart of it. We continue to test materials, threads, and unique trims in various conditions of saltwater and chlorinated water alike. We pride ourselves on pioneering the new way to approach how swimwear fits on a woman's body. We have reengineered the way bikini bottoms are created by using a binding method that removes thick elastics. This reduces the fight against the fabrics natural stretch and your bodies natural curves. Each bottom is designed to have the perfect amount of flexibility on your body without the extra fabric to bunch up and detract from your shape. Our exclusive Brazilian bikini bottom styles range from our pucker and cheeky designs to a Whaletail thong that defies all the rules.
